The Dream Takes Flight

Let’s step back to 1992 when the California Science Center dared to dream big—an awe-inspiring air and space center featuring the iconic Space Shuttle. Fast forward thirty years, and that dream is on the brink of realization. Thanks to Jeffrey Rudolph, the visionary president and CEO of the California Science Center, plans are underway for the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center, paying homage to space exploration with Endeavour as its centerpiece.

Setting the Stage

The Endeavour’s journey begins in July 2023 with the construction of the exhibit building. Leading the charge is Dennis Jenkins, a former NASA contractor with extensive shuttle mission experience. With sleeves rolled up and determination ablaze, our team at Bragg Companies breathes life into the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center.

Guided by three cranes, including our powerful Liebherr 1750/2 crawler crane, the maneuver unfolds seamlessly. With precision deserving of applause, Endeavour gracefully navigates through tight spaces, marking the culmination of an extraordinary journey.
